Tom Butterworth Gardening and Education
RHS Qualified – 10+ years experience
Gardener – Horticulturalist - Project Lead - Tutor
I have over 10 years experience of gardening, teaching, and project leadership. My work has always focused on benefiting people and the environment, through wildlife-friendly, organic gardening, education, and projects to improve people’s health and wellbeing.
I work with private individuals, community groups and charities/social enterprises: carrying out garden maintenance and improvements; designing garden spaces; and delivering educational sessions, courses and talks.
I have worked as a gardener across Manchester, carrying out regular maintenance, soft landscaping, weeding, pruning and planting. I've done everything from mowing lawns to creating wildlife-friendly oases.
I can also work with you or your organisation to design and develop an area for your purposes, and can facilitate consultation and co-creation with your community and service users.
I work as a gardener in Chorlton, Manchester, Stretford, Trafford, Bury and the surrounding areas.

I run small group educational sessions on horticulture skills and the uses of herbs. I have led groups of volunteers in gardening and food growing tasks, and delivered accredited horticulture qualifications while working at a college.
