Workshops and Courses
Working with nature is a great way to improve mental and physical health and wellbeing. I've seen this first hand in the transformative effect that educational workshops that I have delivered has had on some of my learners.
Beyond this, I believe that passing on fundamental gardening skills can be a part of how we build communities which are resilient to, and help to prevent, the effects of climate change and ecosystem breakdown. This can also be part of the fight against poverty and hunger, as people gain skills which can be brought into employment, volunteering, or simply growing food for themselves and their community.
As well as horticultural skills, I teach the history, traditions, folklore and science that surrounds certain plants. I believe in the importance of protecting and sharing knowledge which could otherwise be lost.
This is why I got into teaching and tutoring, so that I could pass on the knowledge that I've gained from my own experience and learning. I can deliver private tuition, talks, one-off sessions and longer courses to groups and individuals. This could be for community groups, charities and social enterprises, educational institutions,
